Midnight Musing

Hello world,

So it's almost 11pm and I'm still awake. I realize I'm overtired and whatnot and I'm not quite sure what I'm supposed to be writing about or even if I should be writing this late when my mind has put up a "back in 5 minute sign" already.

But I'm still here so who knows what will happen I'm just gonna go with it 😋

Anyhow, how about I share my focus verse? Yeah OK sounds good. Alright so every couple months the Lord gives me a focus verse or piece of scripture that He would like me to study. For a long while it was Micah 6:8, before that it was Isaiah 40:31. But here is the one I'm currently studying:

Psalm 23
A psalm of David.
1The LORD is my shepherd, I lack nothing.
2He makes me lie down in green pastures, he leads me beside quiet waters,
3he refreshes my soul. He guides me along the right paths for his name’s sake. 4Even though I walk through the darkest valley,
I will fear no evil, for you are with me; your rod and your staff,
 they comfort me.
5You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies.
You anoint my head with oil; my cup overflows.
6Surely your goodness and love will follow me all the days of my life,
and I will dwell in the house of the LORD forever.

So far I haven't learned much because I've only been studying for a little while but I truly see that God wants me to find peace in ALL situations, no matter the hardship. But I'll post more when I have more revelations to share 💞

There you go 😏 now I think I'll go to bed. Hope y'all sleep well!
Much love 💕
Sincerely,
Me

The Sun is Shining

Hello world!

So today before class I had a minute and thought I would share with you all a moment from my morning. Since I have the privilege of waking up crazy early everyday, I get to see the sunrise.

And although I always think to myself, "why do I do this? The sun isn't even up!" and, "My degree had better be worth it." (Spoiler alert: it is). This isn't necessarily a bad thing.

How many times in our day-to-day lives do we stop to savor the sunrise? This slow awakening of the day is a painting across the sky our great Creator gives us. It is a blessing, and not many times do we appreciate it.

We sleep through it. Work through it. Go around with our eyes glued to little electronic screens all day without even acknowledging the passing of time. But how often do we realize that time is passing by really fast and that it's a blessing to have even woken up.

It was a beautiful thing to slow down long enough to partake of this spectacular event this morning. It was even more special because I got to savor it with my beau (my loving, devoted boyfriend of almost two years).

So please take a minute and watch the sunrise, and, if you have the opportunity, watch it with someone you love. Because it's these little blessings that make everyday life worthwhile.

Sincerely,
Me
xoxo
